PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING / APPLYING:
Our Submissions Manager is currently open to applications for our faculty position in fiction, as well as for the Brittingham and Felix Pollak Prizes in Poetry. Please be sure to select the correct "genre" when applying / submitting!
TO APPLY FOR OUR ADVANCED ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION IN FICTION: Select "Fiction Faculty Position" as your "genre," below, and upload a single pdf containing a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, the names and contact information of three recommenders, a short story or novel excerpt up to 30 pages in length, a statement of teaching philosophy, and sample syllabi for one or two courses you have taught or would like to teach.
TO APPLY FOR THE BRITTINGHAM / FELIX POLLAK PRIZES IN POETRY: Select "Brittingham/Pollak Prizes" as your "genre" below, and upload a single, 60-to-90-page manuscript pdf including (1) a page containing the title only, (2) a table of contents, (3) the poems, and (4) an acknowledgments page listing any magazines or journals in which poems from the manuscript initially appeared. If you applied for a Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing Fellowship last year, you do not need to create a new account: simply log in using the form at left, verify that your contact information is up to date, and upload your Brittingham/Pollak submission.
Once you've successfully uploaded your submission, you will be redirected to our secure pay portal. Be sure to check the second box, for the Brittingham/Pollak prizes. If for some reason you were not redirected to the payment portal, you can click this link to pay your $25 fee. If for some reason you are unable to use our online submissions manager, you can submit to the Brittingham and Felix Pollak Prizes via First Class Mail. Click here for postal guidelines.
